A medical cannabis legalization bill has died in the state legislature, again, and the bill sponsor has vowed to return with a ballot initiative, again.
The Court ruled on Thursday that the language of the ballot initiative was not “legally sufficient.”
The campaign says the Secretary of State confirmed enough signatures are valid, but a legal challenge also arose. Voters in five states will see medical and/or adult use cannabis on their November ballots.
If it qualifies, Nebraska will join two other states, South Dakota and Mississippi, where voters will decide on medical cannabis this year.
