According to a Gallup poll released on August 8, one in eight–or, 13 percent of–U.S. adults “currently” consume cannabis, compared with 7 percent in 2013.
It could be that cannabis use is increasing as more states move to legalize cannabis, or it could be that more adults are open about their use.
The number of adults who say they have tried cannabis has also increased since 2013, from 38 percent to 43 percent.
